DESCRIPTION:Join DCHS for an unforgettable afternoon as melaniejane\, owner and operator of the Holiday Music Motel\, will discuss the motel phenomenon of the 20th century and the history of the Holiday Music Motel specifically. Motels have played an important role in the lives of travelers of American roads. With fewer motels remaining\, The Holiday Music Motel is important\, not only preserving this bygone era\, but also in their mission to be a significant contributor to the community through their outreach and support of the music and art community.\nHeld at the Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club\, 600 Nautical Dr\, the menu includes your plated choice of: Cherry Barbeque Meatloaf\, mashed potatoes\, chef’s choice of vegetable\, Chicken Veloute (chicken with cream sauce)\, mashed potatoes\, chef’s choice of vegetable\, or Vegetarian Apple Gorgonzola Salad with cranberries\, candied walnuts. SUMMARY:February Luncheon
DESCRIPTION:Our first program for 2024 will be held on Saturday\, February 24\, 2024\, at Stone Harbor Resort\, 107 N. 1st Ave.\, Sturgeon Bay. The menu includes soup\, deli sandwiches and salads\, cookies and bars for dessert\, and coffee. The bar will be open for service. Doors will open at 11:30 am. Lunch will be served at noon. \nFollowing the luncheon will be a presentation on Birds of Prey\, by the Open Door Bird Sanctuary of Door County. Rob Hults\, Executive Director\, will present the history of birds of prey in Door County as well as\, the mission of the Open Door Bird Sanctuary. \nIn addition to the program\, the Door County Historical Society will hold a silent auction to benefit the Endowment Fund. Items will be donated by local businesses and you are encouraged to participate by making bids on the baskets up for auction. You may be going home with a fun prize! \nRegister Here!
