Greetings!

It has been another week of amazing progress.

It was a week of more painting and brick and mortar repairs for Josh and Dion.

Chuck repaired the broken vent collar in the lantern room. He drilled holes in the new solid brass draft grates that will replace the non-original plywood ones. After test fitting them Chuck will put a clear coat finish on the new brass grates to keep them from tarnishing.

John Fletcher will be coming to Door County sometime Sunday afternoon and spending a couple days here. He will be bringing the new spires and installation will happen after they are painted to match the lead gray color of the gable trim. At that time, we will review the scope of work with John to identify items still needing completion. An incredible amount has been done. The lighthouse has not looked this good for a long time.
