Our Mission
The Heritage Alliance of Door County exists as a resource to strengthen and enhance local heritage organizations, promote collaboration and develop county-wide programming and events. We do this
through educational programming, facilitating communication among all organizations, and actively sharing resources, knowledge and skills for each other’s benefit. We also raise public awareness of the important role and contribution historic preservation makes to the culture and economy of Door County.
Our Vision
Due to the efforts of the Heritage Alliance of Door County local history and heritage are on the map and in the minds of the people of Door County and our visitors. The discovery of Door County history is important to visitors and residents alike. Local historic preservation is recognized as a vital part of our economy and culture. Local historic preservation organizations and institutions are strong individually and regularly act in concert to preserve and share the heritage of Door County.
