Greetings!

Another exciting day at EBLS.

The anchor at Eagle Bluff Lighthouse was unrelated to the lighthouse’s history. It was decided that the anchor should be reunited with its original ship. Laurie Baum collaborated with Mike Barker from the Sturgeon Bay Department of Public Works to move the anchor to Bullhead Point City Park, where the Oak Leaf rests underwater. Mike and his team arrived on-site shortly before 6 a.m. and promptly began the removal process. By 7 a.m., the anchor was loaded onto the truck, and the task was completed. While there, they also cut off the chain posts at ground level. The concrete pad will be removed eventually.

Josh and Dion were continuing brick and mortar repairs on the tower. The lighthouse keeps looking better and better each day with the amazing work they are doing.
