Greetings!
Chuck got new drain tile and reconnected the drain tiles that were severed when the contractor was trenching for the connection at the meter pedestal on the lighthouse. We had no idea the drain tiles were there until the contractor dug up the area. Chuck and I put in some backfill to cover the drain tiles and the contractor came back Wednesday with the backhoe to finish the backfilling.
Tuesday was an action packed day for the power line trenching. They were working in Welker’s Point campground. They had to go from the transformer that has the high voltage connection to the intersection of the campground road and Shore Road to meet up with the cable that goes to the lighthouse.
There are lots of pictures because there was lots of activity!
Late Wednesday morning, September 5, Miller Pipeline finished their work, loaded up their equipment and departed. They did a bang-up job. Thank you Miller Pipeline crew!
We are now waiting for WPS to put in a different transformer at the campground before the new power feed can be energized.
Mike LeClair from Bay Lake Electric will return to install a receptacle on the outside of the lighthouse and do some preliminary wiring inside the lighthouse. The basement will get some outlets and LED light fixtures, and outlets will be installed in the kitchen.
