Greetings!
More progress at Eagle Bluff Light.
It was not the nicest of days weather wise. We were going to start applying solid color stain to the summer kitchen siding. We decided not to because with no sun it would not dry very fast and there was a chance of rain later in the day that would not be good for the uncovered stained boards. And it did rain so it was a good decision to wait. Wednesday does not look like a promising day either but Thursday is supposed to be sunny. We have a lot of boards to stain, about 1400 lineal feet. That is more than a quarter mile and Mike wants to start putting the siding on the summer kitchen Friday. Who do you know wants to stain kitchen siding?
Josh and Deion were preparing the inside of the tower for painting. They have the tower well sealed off from the rest of the lighthouse as to not get any dust in the nice clean keepers quarters. As a result we did not see much of them today as they were inside the tower. They went in through the bottom tower window.

Mike and Billy finished installing the barn stair second floor stringers. There are temporary steps on the stringers so you can now go upstairs to the hayloft. They also installed roof trim on the summer kitchen.
Billy tried the cupola shell that Mike made on the barn roof to make sure the size looked good and it did. Mike can now finish making the cupola.
Ann, Mary and Wendy were getting the gift shop ready for opening day.

Our electricians were busy today. Frankie was wiring inside the summer kitchen making good progress. Marshall and Max pulled wire from the breaker panel in the barn to the breaker panel in the lighthouse basement and completed the hookup. The summer kitchen and barn now have live electricity in them.
It was another good day at Eagle Bluff Light Station. Thanks for you continued support!
