From the Keeper’s Desk – June 12

Greetings!

The roofers finished installing the metal roofing on the summer kitchen yesterday.

This morning Josh and Deion were working on the inside of the exterior lighthouse basement walls.

Billy and Cory were installing vertical siding on the east side of the barn.

It was discovered there was a problem with some wood pieces on the roof gable ends and they had to be removed so the gable end metal roof trim could be installed.

There was also a problem with the gutter straps interfering with the installation of the bottom roof edge piece. The gutters were temporarily removed. For every problem there is always a solution.

Meanwhile, John continues to dip cedar shingles into stain. He could use some help! If anyone is interested in volunteering their time, call Amy at the office. (920) 421-2332.

I had to leave at 11:30 so I have no pictures from the afternoon work. Will find out tomorrow morning what happened.

Ed
