We’re excited to invite you to a classic Door County experience as our 2025 Dine & Discover series continues with a traditional fish boil dinner on Monday, July 28, at The Log Den in Egg Harbor.
This rustic, cabin-style restaurant, located at 6626 Highway 42, is the perfect backdrop for an evening that celebrates the history and flavors of our region. Guests will enjoy a hearty Door County fish boil, complete with whitefish, potatoes, onions, and of course—a slice of cherry pie for dessert. (An alternative entree of chicken will be available as well.)
Following the meal, we’ll take a deeper dive into the story behind The Log Den. Learn how this remarkable structure was built and hear about the family who brought their vision to life, using logs harvested from their own property. It’s an inspiring tale of craftsmanship, commitment, and community—values that mirror our mission at the Door County Historical Society.
Whether you’re a long-time supporter or discovering our programs for the first time, Dine & Discover events are a great way to enjoy local food, connect with neighbors, and learn something new about the place we all love.
As always, your participation helps us preserve and share Door County’s remarkable past. If you’re unable to attend but would still like to support our work—including the restoration of Eagle Bluff Light Station—we welcome donations of any size. Every gift helps us grow.
We hope to see you there!
