Today marks a small but exciting change for the Door County Historical Society — the installation of our brand-new awning! Thanks to a generous Facade Improvement Grant from the Door County Economic Development Corporation, and the expert work of Appleton Awning, we now have an attractive awning that extends the full length of our building.
Not only does it give our space a more professional and inviting appearance, but it also provides much-needed shade from the afternoon sun, making your visits more comfortable — whether you’re stopping by to chat, browse, or learn about our programs.
We invite you to come see it in person, take a stroll inside, and explore what’s new at the Historical Society. And while you’re here, remember that your support through donations helps us continue preserving, sharing, and celebrating Door County’s rich history.

I will miss the printing service. The gentleman who ran it was a great help to organizations I work with. But our new Historical Society space is awesome and provides much needed meeting area and storage.
