From the Keeper’s Desk – August 29

Greetings!

Our landscaper, Peninsula Property Services, completed landscape work and grass seeding. It took then two days to do a lot of work. They did a great job. All we need now is some rain to get it growing. After it gets its first rain Park Superintendent Eric Hyde offered to have the Park staff use their water wagon to water it so it does not dry out.

The area along the parking lot got a good make-over. No more rock piles or uneven terrain. And the front of the lighthouse is greatly improved. The terrain is nice and even.

Chuck got the second coat of paint on the basement steps today.
