As the sun dips low over the waters of Green Bay, Eagle Bluff Light Station takes on a whole new glow. For two special evenings this fall—Saturday, September 27 and Saturday, October 4—the Door County Historical Society invites you to step inside the lighthouse after hours for our beloved Twilight Tours. From 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, guests will be welcomed into the historic keeper’s home to experience music, storytelling, and poetry in a way that makes history come alive.
Imagine the soft glow of lantern light filling the rooms, the sound of a musician’s melody echoing up the stairwell, or the voice of a storyteller transporting you back to the 1800s, when keepers tended the light to guide ships safely through the Strawberry Channel. It’s not just a tour—it’s an atmosphere, a step back in time, and an evening to remember.
“Twilight Tours offer something you can’t experience on a regular daytime visit,” shares Amy Frank, Executive Director of the Door County Historical Society. “There is something magical about being inside the lighthouse as evening settles in, listening to stories, music, and poetry in the same spaces where keepers and their families once lived.”
