Halloween is just around the corner, and the Door County Historical Society is bringing a touch of history to the spooky season. Join us at Heritage Village for a special October program that blends tradition, creativity, and a little Halloween fun.
Vintage Halloween Decorations

🕠5:30 – 6:30 pm
Black cats, pumpkinheads, and other whimsical figures were among the first spooky faces to appear on Halloween decorations. At this program, you’ll learn about the history of vintage Halloween décor, enjoy a seasonal treat, and even take home your own decoration kit. This family-friendly event is best suited for adults and children ages 10 and up.
Pumpkin People Wanted!
To make this evening extra festive, we’re looking for volunteers to help carve pumpkins, hang posters, and bake treats. If you’d like to lend a hand, please contact Wendy Wagner at wendy@doorcountyhistoricalsociety.org.
