Downtown Sturgeon Bay will be full of fall fun this Saturday for Harvest Fest, and the Door County Historical Society is excited to be part of it!
You’ll find us at our booth on the corner of Third Avenue and Kentucky Street, where we’ll be sharing some tasty and unique offerings. Stop by to sample different apple varieties, enjoy our popular Apple Pie-in-a-Cup, and check out this year’s Christmas ornament featuring the Vignes Schoolhouse. We’ll also have other items and information about the work we do to preserve and share Door County’s history.
After visiting us downtown, make your way to Heritage Village, where the apple fun continues. Try your hand at coring apples with historic apple corers, and learn more about how this simple tool played an important role in everyday life in the late 1800s and early 1900s. While you’re there, you can tour the Madden Tool Museum, watch demonstrations, and help make applesauce!
Harvest Fest is one of the best ways to enjoy autumn in Door County—great food, community spirit, and a chance to celebrate the season together. We hope to see you there!
Your support at events like this helps the Historical Society continue our mission of preservation, education, and programming. Donations are always welcome to help us grow and expand our work across the county.
