This year’s Glimpse of Christmas Past was a spectacular celebration of creativity, history, and community. The buildings at Heritage Village were beautifully decorated, thanks to the time, effort, and imagination of each participating organization. We also enjoyed a performance by the Recorders on the Door in the Chapel, and hosted a reading of A Christmas Carol on two of the nights.
What made this event truly special was the collaboration between the groups. By coming together, these organizations created a unique and festive experience for guests—one that went beyond individual contributions. Visitors were able to enjoy a cohesive holiday journey while learning about the missions and work of each group.
We’re excited to share this year’s results:
- 1st Place: League of Women Voters (Vignes School)
- 2nd Place: Sunshine Resources (Warren House)
- 3rd Place: WI Humane Society (Kohl Fish House)
- 4th Place: HELP of Door County (Heritage Chapel)
- 5th Place: Wild Ones of Door County (Schopf House)
- 6th Place: Unity (Granary)
Congratulations to all participants! Each organization will receive a check for their share of the amount raised. While the prize may be modest, the exposure and awareness generated through this event are significant. Together, the groups not only raised funds but also increased visibility for their missions—showcasing the power of community collaboration.
We are always looking for ways to improve Glimpse of Christmas Past, so if you have feedback or suggestions for next year, we would love to hear from you. Thank you again to all the organizations for making this event a success and we hope you’ll join us again next holiday season!
