The countdown is on! The Door County Historical Society’s 12th Annual Root Beer Fest is just one week away, and we can’t wait to welcome you to Heritage Village for one of Door County’s favorite summer traditions.
Join us on Saturday, July 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for a day filled with history, family fun, delicious treats, and, of course, plenty of root beer!
Admission is just $10 for adults, and kids 17 and under are FREE. Best of all, your admission includes a complimentary Root Beer Flight, giving you the chance to sample six outstanding brands:

- Baumeister
- Potosi
- Stone Arch
- Bobber’s Craft Root Beer
- 1919 Root Beer
After you’ve sampled them all, be sure to cast your vote and help us crown this year’s People’s Choice Favorite Root Beer!
Of course, tasting isn’t the only sweet part of the day. Cool off with a classic Root Beer Float, or treat yourself to one of our popular Root Beer Cookies.
Feeling hungry? The Sabor de la Door Hispanic Heritage Committee will be serving lunch, making it easy to spend the entire day enjoying everything Heritage Village has to offer.
Throughout the Village you’ll find something happening around every corner. Try your hand at fun root beer-themed activities, watch skilled artisans demonstrate traditional crafts, explore our historic buildings, and enjoy hands-on experiences for visitors of all ages. Learn about the fascinating history of root beer, watch demonstrations, visit the Madden Tool Museum and blacksmith shop, help with our community quilt project, and discover why Heritage Village is one of Door County’s hidden gems.
