There’s something magical about a lighthouse after dark

This fall, the Door County Historical Society invites you to experience Eagle Bluff Light Station in an entirely different way during our annual Twilight Tours, offered for two nights only: Saturday, September 26, and Saturday, October 3, from 6–8 p.m.

As daylight fades over Peninsula State Park, step inside the historic lighthouse and travel back to the days when the Duclon family called Eagle Bluff home. Costumed interpreters will share stories, poetry, and glimpses of life at the light station, accompanied by period music and the warm atmosphere of an autumn evening on the bluff.

And, of course, there’s the lighthouse itself.

If you’ve visited Eagle Bluff during the day, you know how beautiful it is. But seeing it at night is something altogether different. Climb the tower, look out into the darkness beyond the windows, and experience the glow of the Fresnel lens—the very thing that made Eagle Bluff a beacon for sailors navigating the waters of Green Bay.

Twilight Tours are offered only once a year, and they sell out quickly. Tours depart every 20 minutes and are limited to just 20 people per tour, so we strongly encourage you to purchase your tickets in advance. Waiting until the day of the event may mean your preferred tour time—or the entire evening—is sold out.

Tours are $15 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and under. Children age 1 and under are free. Refreshments will be available, and the gift shop will be open during the evening.

Whether you’ve visited Eagle Bluff many times or have never stepped through its doors, Twilight Tours offer a chance to experience this Door County landmark in a way you simply can’t during regular hours.
