Apple Fest

This year, the Door County Historical Society is excited to be part of Sturgeon Bay’s Harvest Festival on Saturday, September 20, 2025 in downtown Sturgeon Bay. Instead of hosting our own Apple Fest, we’re bringing our favorite traditions to the heart of the festival!

Stop by our booth to enjoy:

  • Apple Pie-in-a-Cup – our signature fall treat

  • Apple Tasting – sample and compare different apple varieties by taste, texture, and aroma

  • Apple Education – learn what makes each variety unique and how apples have shaped Door County’s history

Our volunteers will also be on hand to share information about Heritage Village and the work we do to preserve and share Door County’s history.

But don’t worry—Heritage Village will still be open!
From 11 AM to 4 PM on September 20, visitors can stop in to enjoy apple coring, try out the apple cider press, watch a blacksmith demonstration, and tour the Tool Museum. It’s the perfect way to round out your Harvest Fest day.
