We are absolutely thrilled to announce that the Door County Historical Society has been awarded a $17,000 grant from 100+Women Who Care!
This generous support is truly a game-changer for our organization. With these funds, we will be able to significantly increase our educational offerings for children and families at Heritage Village. We plan to introduce guided tours specifically for school groups, providing local students with immersive experiences that bring history to life in meaningful ways. And perhaps most exciting of all, we now have the foundation in place to offer summer camps in 2026—an engaging and hands-on way for kids to explore life in a rural 1890s village.
In addition to the grant, we are eligible to apply for a matching gift of up to $5,000 from the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation, which would help us make an even greater impact.
We are deeply grateful to the amazing women of 100+Women Who Care for selecting DCHS and supporting our mission. Your investment helps ensure that the next generation has access to meaningful, engaging, and local history education.
If you’d like to help us build on this momentum, please consider making a donation. Every gift helps us grow and sustain our work. Visit www.doorcountyhistoricalsociety.org or call 920-421-2332 to contribute.
