This year marks a very special milestone for the Door County Historical Society—we are celebrating 100 years of preserving and sharing Door County’s history. Since our founding in 1926, generations of volunteers, members, and supporters have worked to safeguard the stories, buildings, and artifacts that help us understand the people and events that shaped the peninsula we call home.

As part of this anniversary year, I’m excited to share our story with the broader community.

To help celebrate, we’ve created a short presentation about the Door County Historical Society—where we started, some of the key milestones along the way, and where we’re headed next. It’s a chance to reflect on the past while also talking about the exciting projects and initiatives that will guide our organization into its next century.
