Cheers to 11 Years of Root Beer Fun!

Mark your calendars and bring your thirst—our 11th Annual Root Beer Festival is just around the corner! Join us on Saturday, July 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Heritage Village in Sturgeon Bay for a day of old-fashioned fun, fizzy treats, and family-friendly activities.

This beloved festival celebrates the sweet, bubbly history of root beer with something for everyone. Sample a variety of root beer brands, enjoy root beer floats, and take part in games and crafts that kids (and adults!) will love. Wander through the historic buildings of Heritage Village, meet costumed interpreters, and step back in time to experience life in a rural crossroads village from 1890–1910.

We’ll have food, music, and plenty of root beer-related surprises throughout the day—so come hungry, curious, and ready for a good time!

Admission is $5 for adults; kids 17 and under are free. Donations are always welcome to help the Door County Historical Society grow and continue offering vibrant educational programming, preservation efforts, and events like this one.

Whether you’re a longtime fan or it’s your first time joining us, we can’t wait to raise a glass of root beer with you. See you July 12!
