Join us as we kick off the season with something new at Heritage Village’s Opening Day Celebration on Saturday, May 31, from 10 AM to 3 PM—featuring the Village’s first-ever Vintage & Makers Market.
You can stroll the beautiful Heritage Village grounds while browsing a curated selection of vendors offering vintage finds, handmade goods, and artisan creations. It’s a fresh addition to Opening Day and a perfect opportunity to support local makers while enjoying a unique shopping experience in a one-of-a-kind historical setting.
In addition to the market, you can explore the Village’s collection of restored historic buildings. Costumed interpreters will share stories and demonstrate life from Door County’s past, giving visitors a true step back in time. The celebration also includes historic games, live music, food trucks, and a bake sale full of homemade treats—all set against the charm of a late 19th-century rural crossroads village.
Vendor spots are still available! If you’re a maker or vintage vendor interested in participating, please contact the Door County Historical Society at 920-421-2332 or office@doorcountyhistoricalsociety.org.
Admission to the Opening Day Celebration is free, but donations are gratefully accepted to help preserve and share Door County’s rich history through events like this.
