The Door County Historical Society is excited to share our 2026 Dine & Discover program lineup. These popular programs bring people together for engaging history presentations, a shared meal, and meaningful conversation. To mark a special milestone, every Dine & Discover program in 2026 will also feature a brief Highlights of Our History segment. This new addition shares stories and milestones from the past 100 years and is one of the many ways we are celebrating and commemorating our centennial anniversary.
We kick off the year on Saturday, February 28, with guest speaker Jenna Ferdon, Executive Director of Birch Creek Music Performance Center. Her presentation, Birch Creek Music Performance Center: 50 Seasons of Performance-Based Learning, offers an inside look at an organization that has shaped Door County’s cultural landscape.
Jenna will explore how Birch Creek developed its unique performance-based music academy model, how the Tischler property on County E transformed from a historic farm into a thriving music center, and how Birch Creek continues to influence generations of students and professional musicians. Her presentation highlights creativity, education, and a lasting connection to the Door County community.

Dine & Discover delivers more than a great program. Guests enjoy a delicious lunch, lively conversation, and the opportunity to connect with others who value Door County’s history and culture—all in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
The February luncheon takes place at the Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club, 600 Nautical Drive, Sturgeon Bay. Guests may choose from Cherry BBQ Meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables, Chicken Velouté with garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables, or a Vegetarian Apple Gorgonzola Salad with candied pecans, red onions, dried cranberries, green apple, and red vinaigrette. Coffee, water, and cookies are included, and a cash bar will be available.
Register online, in person at 130 N. 4th Avenue in Sturgeon Bay, or by phone at 920-421-2332 by February 21. Cost is $40 per person, with a discounted rate of $35 for DCHS members. By attending, you help support our mission and ongoing programs—donations and participation allow the Door County Historical Society to grow, preserve our shared history, and continue offering meaningful experiences for the community.
