From the Keeper’s Desk – August 20

Greetings!

It was an adventurous day at Eagle Bluff Light Station.

We now have new sidewalks thanks to Jude and his terrific crew. It looks fantastic.

Mike and Billy started placing edging for the river rock border around the lighthouse. All the buildings will get a river rock border.

JF construction did the excavating for the river rock border and started some preliminary grading. The grading is important in order to direct water away from the lighthouse.

Mike and Billy discovered some loose foundation stones at the base of the lighthouse tower when preparing for the installation of the river rock. That is going to require looking into by National Restoration to fix it.

It was a long day at EBLS but with very satisfying results.

Work will continue tomorrow with grading and river rock.
