From the Keeper’s Desk – July 1

Greetings!

As we turned the page on another month we have seen amazing progress at Eagle Bluff Light Station. The pictures have told the story.

Today saw Josh and Deion power washing the front of the lighthouse. They were not able to finish this last year due to equipment malfunctions. Then it was on to more tuckpointing at the front of the lighthouse. The lighthouse continues to look better every day thanks to all their hard work.

Frankie and Mateo are making good progress on electrifying the rest of the lighthouse. There are lots of challenges getting wiring from the basement to other locations in the lighthouse. They are very good at meeting those challenges.

This morning Billy and Mike finished putting the wood paneling on the other two walls in the summer kitchen. It was then on to putting framing around the windows and doors. It is a night and day difference with the pine paneling finished.

The Summer Kitchen progress is amazing. The pine paneling looks awesome!
Having been in the original summer kitchen and seen all the additions, it is fun to see the actual size of this building. Thanks for the update!
