From the Keeper’s Desk – June 16

Greetings!

It was good to have Mike back from his fishing trip.

The Hometown plastering crew put the veneer layer of plaster on the barn second floor sheetrock.

More dipping shingles in stain today. Started the morning with something like 8 bundles of shingles. Got half done with 4 more bundles to go.

Josh and Deion were whitewashing basement walls inside the lighthouse.

Billy and Cory were working on barn siding while Mike was doing some prototypes of how the shingles match up with the barn vertical siding.

There were lots of people on the lighthouse grounds this morning. Just a reminder, the lighthouse is STILL OPEN for tours. As an added bonus you can watch the restoration and reconstruction in progress!
