From the Keeper’s Desk – May 12

Greetings!

There was lots of progress at the Light Station today.

Outside the flooring was completed for the second story of the barn and the second story knee walls were installed. It was a beautiful spring day to be outside. Winter jackets were not needed and birds were singing. Tried to ignore the mayflies as best as we could. After all, they are a food source for the migrating birds.

Inside painting continues in the parlor which might be the most challenging room in the lighthouse.
