From the Keeper’s Desk – May 22

Greetings!

There’s never a dull moment the light station this week.

The cupola is on the roof. It is temporarily weather tight. It still needs louvers and some trim.

Deanna, John and Ed were staining trim and siding.

Work continues on the chimney in the summer kitchen. It has now exited the roof. The brick that has been installed inside looks great.

Josh and Deion were working on the privy. The flooring and joists underneath are ok. The two holer seat is a goner. They will rebuild it. Josh has the poop pit rear wall rebuilt along with the angled sides. Still needs some more mortar repairs.

Frankie keeps working away on the wiring in the barn.
