From the Keeper’s Desk – May 8

Greetings!

Work continues to move along steadily at Eagle Bluff Light Station. The painting crew is making excellent headway, and the first-floor bedroom is really starting to shine. Over in the parlor, significant plaster repairs are underway to restore the space to its former beauty.

Up in the barn, about three-quarters of the tongue-and-groove flooring has been installed for the second story. This new floor will also serve as the finished ceiling for the first floor, bringing both structure and charm to the space.

We also had a furry visitor on site today! Mike is puppy-sitting again, and 12-week-old Maverick joined the crew for the day. He was remarkably well-behaved and brought lots of smiles to the team.
