Greetings!
It was a perfect evening for the first weekend of the Eagle Bluff Light Station Twilight Tours. The weather could not have been better for what can sometimes not be so cooperative.
The lighthouse grounds were stunning with the new barn and summer kitchen. Thank you Mike, Billy, and Cory of Laaksonen Builders. The inside of the lighthouse could not have looked better thanks to the work of all our terrific contractors. It is so bright and fresh after all the painting by Beth, Jeanne, and Bob. Thanks to our Action Electric electricians for making possible the ability to have lights in the buildings that do not require batteries or a generator. Frankie was working right up to the end on Friday to hang the ceiling lamp in the summer kitchen so we had it ready for Saturday evening. Chuck electrified all the old oil lamps that nicely light up the inside of the lighthouse and summer kitchen. Not to mention all the lighting he did outside to light up the buildings. And the bright light in the Fresnel really made it shine. Thank you Josh, Deion and Josh of National Restoration for all the restoration work on the lighthouse, oil house and privy. We now have new sidewalks thanks to Jude Colosimo and his terrific crew. Then there is the grading and landscaping by J F Construction and Peninsula Property Services. And thanks to all the volunteers, could not have done it without you.
What a way to wind down the lighthouse season! And we get to do Twilight Tours one more time Saturday October 4th.
