A Century of History. A Future Worth Preserving.

For 100 years, the Door County Historical Society has served as a steward of local history, connecting generations through preservation, education, and programming. From safeguarding historic buildings to collecting photographs, artifacts, and stories, DCHS has grown alongside the community it serves.

Today, we manage Eagle Bluff Light Station in Peninsula State Park and operate Heritage Village in Sturgeon Bay, a living history site representing a rural crossroads village from 1890–1910. Each year, we offer more than 60 educational programs across the county for residents and visitors of all ages.
