The Door County Historical Society invites groups of all sizes to explore our historic sites—Eagle Bluff Light Station in Peninsula State Park and Heritage Village.
Eagle Bluff Light Station
Step into the life of a lightkeeper and his family at the beautifully restored Eagle Bluff Light Station. Guided tours share stories of maritime history and the people who kept the light shining for sailors on Green Bay.

Heritage Village
Travel back in time to a rural crossroad village of the late 1800s–early 1900s. Explore eight historic buildings—including a blacksmith shop, schoolhouse, and log cabins—while learning how early settlers lived, worked, and built community in Door County.

Tour Details
Standard tours last approximately one hour, though longer, specialized tours with an educational focus can be arranged. Advance reservations are required for groups. Your visit and tour fees directly support our mission to preserve and share Door County’s history.
School Groups
We welcome school groups of all ages and tailor tours to match classroom learning goals. Longer visits with hands-on activities and interactive lessons can be arranged to provide students with a meaningful connection to the past. These programs are designed to be both fun and educational, giving students an opportunity to step into history and experience what daily life was like more than a century ago.
Coach& Bus Tours
Door County’s history makes for a memorable stop on any itinerary. Our sites are well-suited to accommodate bus tours, and our staff and volunteers provide engaging, accessible programs for travelers. Tours are designed to be flexible and informative, offering your guests a unique glimpse into the people and stories that shaped this community.
