The Door County Historical Society is looking for individuals who enjoy hands-on activities and would like to demonstrate their craft or pastime at Heritage Village!
Heritage Village is a special place where history comes alive. Our historic buildings and exhibits showcase life from 1890-1910, but we need people like you to make it truly vibrant. Whether you enjoy hand sewing, needlework, beading, leatherwork, woodworking, flower gardening, printmaking, knitting, blacksmithing, weaving, fabric dyeing, quilting, open-stove cooking, or a myriad of other crafts and hobbies, we want YOU to help transport visitors back in time.
Not into crafts? No problem! If you love to play chess, checkers, or cribbage, we would love to see you set up a game and invite visitors to play. Every small detail adds to the immersive experience and helps us connect people with the past in a meaningful way.
Spending time at Heritage Village demonstrating your passion is a rewarding way to engage with the community, preserve history, and inspire others. Whether you can commit to one afternoon or a regular schedule, we would love to have you join us.
