Greetings!

On Monday July 22 John Fletcher delivered the new spires and horizontal crosspieces. Josh and Dion primed and painted them. John also brought the stone chimney cap pieces.

On Tuesday Josh and Dion installed the chimney cap. They checked the support flange for the spiral staircase center column in the basement and determined there are no structural issues with it.

Wednesday was the big day for installation of the new spires. They started in the front. After the spires were installed painting was finished on the front before moving the lift to the rear of the lighthouse. The installation of the rear spire started mid afternoon and was completed a couple hours later.
