This year, the Door County Historical Society celebrates a major milestone—our 100th anniversary. To mark a century of collecting, preserving, and sharing the history of Door County, we were honored to receive commendations from both the Governor of Wisconsin and the County of Door, recognizing our dedication to preserving the community’s stories, people, and places.
“This recognition highlights the work of generations of volunteers, staff, and supporters who have ensured Door County’s history is preserved and accessible,” said Amy Frank, Executive Director.
As we celebrate this centennial, we are inspired to continue our mission and look forward to the next 100 years of preserving the rich heritage of Door County.
