August is a hands-on history month at Heritage Village! Whether you’re a garden enthusiast, a curious kid, or a lifelong learner, we have something special waiting for you.
From uncovering the secrets of our authentic German heritage garden to creating tin can lanterns or trying your hand at old-time toys, our Saturday and Thursday programs offer fun, education, and a chance to connect with the past in meaningful ways. You might even meet an archaeologist, taste a few herbs, or learn a new quilting technique along the way.
Each of these interactive programs helps bring the story of Door County to life—and your visit supports our mission to preserve and share that story for generations to come.
