We’re excited to share that Eagle Bluff Light Station will reopen to the public on Friday, May 23 at 11:00am! As the days grow longer and Peninsula State Park comes alive with spring, we look forward to welcoming you back to the beloved home of William and Julia Duclon.
This year is a little different—and very special. While the lighthouse is open for tours, restoration work is actively underway as part of our ongoing $2 million preservation campaign. That means visitors will have a rare chance to see behind the scenes of a major restoration in progress. You’ll still hear the powerful stories of the Duclon family’s life at the lighthouse, but you’ll also gain a new appreciation for the care it takes to preserve this historic treasure for future generations.
Eagle Bluff Light Station is not just a stop on your Door County itinerary—it’s a living reminder of the people who kept our waters safe, and the home they made on the bluff. Come walk through history, see preservation in action, and help us keep the light shining.
Your support makes all of this possible. Donations to the Door County Historical Society help us grow, preserve, and share the rich history of our community. Thank you for being part of the story.
We can’t wait to see you at the lighthouse!
