The countdown is on for our 11th annual Root Beer Festival on Saturday, July 12, and we need your help to make it a success! Root Beer Fest is the Door County Historical Society’s largest fundraiser of the year, and it takes a full team of volunteers to pull it off.
Whether you’re a longtime supporter or new to the Village, this is a fun and rewarding way to get involved and support our mission.
Volunteer Opportunities Include:

- Admissions – Greet guests and help them get checked in
- Ticket Sales – Sell tickets for games, food, and floats
- Root Beer Floats & Flights – Serve up the fan favorites
- Root Beer Sales – Help guests discover new favorites
- Historic Games – Run simple, turn-of-the-century games for kids and families
- Merchandise Sales – Assist with souvenir and gift sales
- Set-Up (Friday, July 11 from 9 AM–Noon) – Help us prepare the Village
- Clean-Up (Saturday afternoon) – Many hands make light work!
You can sign up for a morning shift, afternoon shift, or both! Stick with one task or mix it up throughout the day—it’s up to you. Every role helps us create an unforgettable experience for our visitors.
Can’t Volunteer? Come Enjoy the Festival!
If you’re not able to help out this year, we hope you’ll join us as a guest on July 12 and take in all the fun—live music, delicious food, root beer tastings, kids activities, and more!
