If you’re looking for a great way to enjoy good food, good company, and a meaningful story, make plans now to join the Door County Historical Society for our February 2026 Dine & Discover program on Friday, February 28, at the Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club (600 Nautical Drive). Doors open at 11:30 a.m., lunch is served at noon, and the program follows. Everyone is welcome and we encourage early registration.
We’re excited to welcome Jenna Ferdon, Executive Director of Birch Creek Music Performance Center, as our featured speaker. Her presentation, Birch Creek Music Performance Center: 50 Seasons of Performance-Based Learning, will share the story of how Birch Creek grew from a historic farm on County E into a nationally recognized music performance center. Jenna will also explore Birch Creek’s unique educational model and the lasting impact it has had on students, professional musicians, and the Door County community for more than 50 years.
A delicious lunch is part of the experience, with a choice of Cherry BBQ Meatloaf, Chicken Velouté, or a Vegetarian Apple Gorgonzola Salad. Coffee, water, and cookies are included, and a cash bar will be available.

As we celebrate the Door County Historical Society’s 100th anniversary, each Dine & Discover program in 2026 will include a special “Highlights of Our History” segment. These brief presentations will share stories and milestones from our first century and offer a deeper look at how the Society has worked to preserve and share Door County’s past.
Dine & Discover programs are more than a luncheon—they are an important way to support the Door County Historical Society. Your participation and donations help us care for historic sites, expand educational programs, and continue sharing Door County’s stories with the community. We hope you’ll join us for this special program and be part of our centennial celebration.
The cost to attend is $40 per person, with a discounted rate of $35 for Door County Historical Society members. You can register online, call 920-421-2332, or by stop by our office at 130 N. 4th Avenue in Sturgeon Bay.
