Explore Our New Centennial Web Page

We’re excited to announce the launch of a brand-new page on our website dedicated to a truly special milestone—the 100th anniversary of the Door County Historical Society!

Since our founding on October 1, 1926, the Door County Historical Society has been committed to preserving, sharing, and celebrating the rich history of Door County. Over the past century, we’ve grown from a small group of passionate historians into a vibrant organization that cares for historic sites, protects collections, and brings history to life through programs, exhibits, and community engagement.

From the early publications that helped shape our understanding of the peninsula’s past, to the stewardship of beloved sites like Heritage Village and Eagle Bluff Light Station, our accomplishments reflect generations of dedication—from volunteers, members, donors, and supporters like you.

Now, as we step into our second century, we invite you to explore all that this milestone year has to offer.

This new web page is your hub for everything related to our 100th anniversary celebration—and it will continue to grow! It’s easy to find, just go to our website, www.doorcountyhistoricalsociety.org, and click on the 100th anniversary logo on the left side. Be sure to check back often as we add new content, announcements, and opportunities to participate.

On our new Centennial web page, you’ll find:

Highlights from our first 100 years
Stories that showcase the people and places that define Door County
Details on special programs and events planned throughout the year
Information about our Centennial Campaign and ways to support our work
Opportunities to get involved, from attending events to sharing your own story

We also invite you to sign our virtual guest book and share your memories, reflections, and well wishes as we celebrate this incredible milestone together.

Thank you for being part of our story—past, present, and future.
