Volunteers Needed: There’s Something for Everyone at DCHS

There’s a place for everyone to get involved at the Door County Historical Society this spring!

From helping in the office and preparing historic buildings for the season, to event set-up, gardening, crafts, yard work, and special programs, we have a wide variety of volunteer opportunities coming up over the next month. Whether you enjoy working with people, staying behind the scenes, getting your hands dirty, or sharing your talents and creativity, there’s a role for you.

Volunteers are the heart of the Door County Historical Society. Your time and energy help us preserve Door County’s history, welcome visitors, care for historic sites, and create memorable experiences for our community and guests alike.

Some upcoming opportunities include:

  • Office and administrative help
  • Cleaning and preparing buildings for the season
  • Event set-up and support
  • Bake sale contributions
  • Gardening and outdoor projects
  • Craft and hands-on activity preparation
  • Yard work and spring maintenance
  • Special events at Heritage Village and Eagle Bluff Light Station

We truly have something for everyone—whether you can help once, occasionally, or throughout the season.
