The Door County Historical Society invites the community to save the date for a very special milestone—the Grand Opening Celebration of the Eagle Bluff Light Station on Friday, June 26, 2026.
After years of planning, fundraising, and careful restoration, the historic lighthouse and its grounds will be ready to welcome visitors for a day-long celebration honoring one of Door County’s most beloved landmarks.
The festivities will include a formal presentation at 11:00 a.m., recognizing the many supporters, partners, and volunteers who helped make this important preservation project possible.
Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy a variety of activities for all ages, including:
- Free lighthouse tours
- Live music
- Games and family-friendly activities
- Book signings
- Demonstrations and exhibits
- And more surprises still to come
This celebration marks an exciting new chapter for Eagle Bluff Light Station, a site that has guided mariners along the Green Bay shoreline since 1868. The restoration ensures that the lighthouse will continue to share its stories and welcome visitors for generations to come.
Whether you have long supported the lighthouse or are visiting for the first time, we invite you to join us in celebrating the preservation of this historic treasure.
Mark your calendar for Friday, June 26, 2026, and plan to spend the day with us at Eagle Bluff Light Station.
More details about the celebration schedule and activities will be announced soon.

I am so excited to see the new additions and renovations of this grand lighthouse. I am planning on attending this event. Thank you to the Door County Historical Society for continuing to keep the Duclon family’s story alive and for your loving care of this historical lighthouse.
Alanna – we are delighted to learn that you plan to attend. We’d like to get as many Duclon relatives as possible for a group photo!
Hi Amy
Huge thank you and humble appreciation to you, staff and volunteers for the years of planning, fundraising and finally seeing the additions and renovation come to fruition at the lighthouse.
A picture would be wonderful at the celebration. Looking forward to meeting some of my “distant couisins” that share in my love for the lighthouse and all her history.
Heartfelt appreciation, Alanna
