They’re here! We’re excited to announce that the 2026 Door County Historical Society commemorative ornaments have arrived and are now available for purchase.
This year’s ornament is especially meaningful as we celebrate the Society’s 100th anniversary. Each ornament in our annual series supports the Door County Historical Society Endowment Fund, helping to ensure that our mission continues for generations to come. Through preservation, education, and engaging programs, we remain committed to collecting, protecting, and sharing the rich history of Door County.
The 2026 ornament features two iconic landmarks: the original Courthouse and Eagle Bluff Lighthouse. Beautifully illustrated by Door County artist Darlene Klister and crafted on a brass plate, this keepsake honors both our beginnings and our continued commitment to preserving Door County’s history.

The original Courthouse holds special significance as the place where the Door County Historical Society was founded on October 1, 1926. Eagle Bluff Lighthouse represents one of our most significant preservation achievements—a project that has inspired generations of visitors and, following its recent restoration, continues to tell the story of Door County’s rich maritime heritage.
Whether you’re adding to your collection, starting a new tradition, or looking for a meaningful holiday gift, this ornament is a beautiful way to celebrate local history while supporting its future.
Ornaments are available now at:
- The Door County Historical Society office (130 N. 4th Avenue, Sturgeon Bay)

Pick up yours today before the holiday rush begins! Every ornament purchased helps strengthen the Door County Historical Society Endowment Fund, ensuring that the stories, places, and traditions of Door County will be preserved for generations to come.
