Time is running out to reserve your seat for the Door County Historical Society’s May Dine & Discover program! Registration closes this Monday, May 11, so don’t wait to sign up for this popular evening of local history, delicious food, and community fellowship.

Join us on Monday, May 18 for “116 Years of Draeb Jewelers,” presented by George Draeb of Draeb Jewelers in Sturgeon Bay. From its founding by George A. Draeb in 1910 to today, this engaging presentation will explore the rich history and growth of one of Door County’s most enduring family businesses.

A lifelong resident of Sturgeon Bay, George has spent 52 years working in the family business and is a certified Master Watchmaker. With personal stories, historical insight, and decades of experience, he will share the fascinating journey of Draeb Jewelers and its lasting connection to the community.

The evening will take place at the Door Country Event Center, located at Schmitz Insurance, three miles south of Sturgeon Bay. Guests will also enjoy a hearty buffet dinner catered by Marchant’s of Brussels featuring ham, meatballs, green bean casserole, potato salad, German potato salad, brownies, lemonade, coffee, and water.

Dine & Discover programs regularly fill up, and this unique look at a 116-year-old Door County business is sure to be a memorable evening.
