Join the Door County Historical Society on Monday, November 24, for the final Dine & Discover program of 2025 at Prince of Peace Church in Sturgeon Bay. The **Jarosh family—J.R., Jon, Sue, and Joe—**will share the fascinating story of the Jacksonport Polar Bear Club, a beloved Door County tradition that began in 1986 with one swimmer and now attracts hundreds to the icy waters of Lake Michigan each New Year’s Day. Learn how the event grew into one of the nation’s largest polar bear swims and gained national attention through commercials, films, and television features. Dinner will be catered by Scaturo’s Baking Co. Café, and reservations are due by November 17.
